Your Doll
How do you fix your doll’s loose/broken limbs?
I’m buying a doll from eBay and one from Craigslist, they’re both American Girl dolls, but in the description, they’re listed as ‘has loose limbs’ and ‘one leg has broken off’. I’m buying them because, other than that, their hair and face is in good condition, and they were a very good price.
Is there any way to fix the legs and the looseness?

There are a few options out there for you…
1) Send the doll to the AG Doll hospital:

This option will run you about 30 dollars for the repairs but when you send the doll in they will clean them up as well as take care of the dolls limbs.
2) Take up a collector on them repairing the dolls for you. There are select collectors out there that know how to re attach the limbs and tighten them. We also do basic restoration and cleanings.

3) Learn to repair those doll limbs yourself. Taffy Cheerful a well known collector of 18″ dolls, made a tutorial for collectors to learn to do the repairs themselves.

I do not recommend all of the other treatments on the site but Taffy did an amazing job showing this one. All together it took about $5.00 of parts per doll to make the repairs.
